pink pineapple smoothie


The ingredients listed for this smoothie makes a whopping 2-litre jug. With English strawberries at their best, I cannot see a reason as to why I should not make the most of them – so 2 litres it is for me.

  • 1/2 Organic Galia Melon
  • 1 Small Organic Pineapple
  • 1 Punnet Organic Strawberries = 400g
  • 300ml Raw Coconut water
  • 1 Lemon

Peel & chop the melon & pineapple, hull the strawberries & squeeze the lemon, I like to add the pulp from the lemon too, it lifts the taste a little. Add all to the blender with the Coconut water & blend everything together.


I am not a fan of ice cold smoothies, this is why I never use ice in my recipes, you can, of course, freeze some of the fruits if you prefer the chilled option. I just think it kills the flavour of the drink, all fruits out in the wild are ripening in the sun & taste so much nicer as the flavour is released when warmer. Besides that, the ice or frozen fruit thickens the drink & with the amounts of fruit that I use in my recipes it just is not needed to aid consistency.

Using high quantities of fruit produces a rich sweet flavour, also allowing me the required daily consumption to maintain optimum levels of energy throughout the day.

If the smoothies have too thick a consistency you can always add some raw organic coconut water, spring water even freshly squeezed orange juice to dilute to your preference.

Do not forget all fruits will be variable with juice/water content & sweetness, so have a play adding more of one fruit or another with additional juice when necessary – there are no rules.
