BANANA-SMOOTHIE

Smoothie:

One of my favourite smoothie – you can even if the cacao is technically a stimulant with the caffeine content.

Ingredients :
  • 6 Ripe Organic Fair Trade Banana’s
  • 300ml Fresh Spring or Organic Raw Coconut Water
  • 100g Smooth Organic Peanut Butter
  • 1tsp Raw Organic Cacao Powder
6 Organic Fair Trade Bananas:

I prefer my bananas Sweet, nicely ripened with brown spots over the skin. As always there’s plenty of information about eating them ripened or with greener skin, maybe experiment to see what works for you.

I have noticed people tend to discard their bananas when the skin is black, in my experience most of the time the flesh is perfect to eat, causing the visual blackness is bruised skin through lack of care, alternately bananas can blacken when left in very cold areas ie; the fridge.

300ml Fresh Spring Water:

I prefer pure water, nothing coming from a carton. You could increase or decrease the water, making your desired consistency.

60g Smooth Organic Peanut Butter:

No added salt or oil, alternatively you could add blanched raw peanuts.

Directions:

Blend in high-powered blender for 30 seconds, drink, simple.

Tips:

Using high quantities of fruit produces a rich sweet flavour, also allowing me the required daily consumption to maintain optimum levels of energy throughout the day.

If the smoothies have too thick a consistency you can always add some raw organic coconut water, spring water even freshly squeezed orange juice to dilute to your preference.

Do not forget all fruits will be variable with juice/water content & sweetness, so have a play adding more of one fruit or another with additional juice when necessary – there are no rules.
